આજે રક્ષાબંધન છે, ખુબ જ સરસ તહેવાર છે , ભાઈ બહેન ના પ્રેમ નો પ્રતીક આ તહેવાર મને બહુ ગમે છે, કારણકે મારે એક જ બહેન છે અને બધાને ખબર છે કે એક ની એક હોય એ ખૂબ જ લાડકી હોત તેમ રીતુ પણ અમારી ખૂબ જ લાડકી બહેન છે આજે સમીર ને બેંકોકમાં રહેવા છતાં આ તહેવાર માણવા મળશે કારણકે જીતુભાઈ આજે જાય છે તેમની જોડે તેની રાખડી મોકલાવી દઈશ
આજે ટ્રેનમાં પણ ખબર પડી જાય કે આજે કાંઈ અનોખો દિવસ છે કારણકે આજે ખૂબ જ ગરદી હતી , જાણે એમ લાગતુ હતુ કે મુંબઈની બધી બહેનો એ જ ટ્રેનમાં આવી ગયી છે, પણ ઘણુ સારુ લાગ્યુ કારણકે ગઈ કાલ ના પેપર માં એવુ લખ્યુ હતુ કે કદાચ આજે મોટી ભરતીના લીધે રક્ષાબંધન બગડે પણ ખરુ , પણ મને લાગે છે કે ભગવાને લાખો બહેનોની દુઆ સાંભળી અને અત્યાર સુધી વાતાવરણ એક્દમ સરસ છે.

આજ બહેન ભાઈ ને બાંધશે અમર રાખડી,
આજ બહેન ભાઈ ને દેશે અમર આશીર્વાદ;
ને ભાઈ આપશે બહેનને અમુલ્ય ભેટ સોગાદ,
હવે ભાઈ કરશે બહેનની રક્ષા જીવનભર;
આજ બ્રાહ્મણો બદલાવશે પવિત્ર જનોઈ,
ને આપશે યજમાનોને અમર આશીર્વાદ;
ખારવા નાળિયેર અર્પણ કરી દરિયાદેવને,
કરશે વિનંતી લાજ રાખજો જીવનભર;
કોઈ કહે છે રક્ષાબંધન,કોઈ કહે બળેવ,
આજ ધણા ઉજવશે કહી નાળિયેરી પૂર્ણિમા;
Raksha Bandhan as the name uggests, signifies a bond of rotection that is derived from Raksha meaning protection and bandhan meaning bound. On this day of Shravan Purnima (full moon day of shravan month), sisters tie Rakhi, a sacred amulet made up of silky threads matted together in an appealing style and festooned with beads on their brothers' wrist. It is a way of praying for their brothers' good health, wealth, happiness and success. The brothers, likewise, promise to protect their sisters from danger or evil and also give them a token gift.
